We would like to welcome you to the crawler room! In this room, we encourage the development of large motor skills such as crawling, pulling up and walking. Small motor skills are developed through various activities such as using a spoon, paintbrush, and sorting toys. Social skills are developed during group snack time, lunch, art, and reading time. Children experience a wide variety of options while using the multipurpose room and during outside time. In the crawler room, we encourage the use of a sipper cup and work on introducing new table foods.

Although we do have a daily schedule, times may vary due to the child's individual schedule, inclement weather, etc. We are always available for any questions or concerns that you may have. Please feel free to give us a call during the day to check in during this transition. We look forward to caring for your child!

Hello, I'm Angie. I began teaching at Learning Edge in 2004 and I've been working with young children since 1999. My qualifications include: Lead teacher, Assistant teacher, and infant/toddler certifications; First Aid and CPR/AED certified; various hours of continuing education. I love working with the babies--being a part of your little one's first year means the world to me!

Ms. Dawn
Ive been working with young children for many, many years and have been at Learning Edge since 2005. In the past I ran my own family daycare and have all of the state certifications, Lead and Assistant certified, SIDS prevention training, Infant/Toddler certified, First Aid and CPR/AED. I look forward to seeing you and your little ones every day.

I began working at Learning Edge in 2009. My qualifications include: Lead teacher certification, Assistant teacher certification, CPR/AED and first aid. I absolutely love working with young children and watching them grow and learn new things. I look forward to meeting you!

Things you will Need for the First Day!

Please make sure you have:

• Two or more sets of extra clothes, appropriate season
• Supply of diapers, wipes, and ointment (if needed)
• Blanket or any other comforting items
• Sunscreen for summer months
• Pacifier or nuk if you child takes one
• Baby food or cereal, if needed
• Bottles with formula or breast milk
  (water if formula is not mixed please)
• Paperwork completed - intake form and emergency card
  (You will need to update intake forms every 3 months and keep up with physicals every 6 months)
• Any required medical information

We supply blankets, bibs, and crib/cot sheets so there is no need to bring those things. (But you are more than welcome to bring them from home if you want.)

Please label everything with your child's name!!

Daily Schedule

Please Note: These are flexible schedules, subject to change, and all outdoor activities are weather permitting.

Cognitive & Sensory

Through the use of finger plays and songs we enhance each child's motor skills as well as cognitive skills. They learn simple things like waving, clapping, and peek-a-boo. By doing art projects with the children we enhance sensory skills through finger painting, making foot and handprints, and by playing with different textures (for example: cool whip, water and soap, and pudding).
